Hope everyone had a fantastic Fourth of July. For those of you that have “respectable” careers and have to go into the office, my apologies. When I was in corporate America, I always felt it was cruel to give employees the 4th off, but then make them come back to work on the 5th after everyone was clearly out celebrating late into the night. Mean. Just mean.
But, if like me, you stayed in and missed the fireworks because of the babes, then maybe you haven’t gotten the “red, white and blue” out of your system. If that’s the case, be sure to check out Natalie’s adorable DIY wreath and Angie’s delicious cheesecake dessert… with Chiquita Banana stars!
I absolutely loved Vanessa’s post about family traditions and memories that you want to pass down. I especially agree with her on #7: Exercising together. But, I also love the idea of Game Nights and Pancake Saturdays. Yes, Yes, Yes! What are your favorites?
And I could totally relate to Tricia’s post about showing your children the fond memories of your own childhood. I have the luck of raising my kids in my home town everyday. It’s so fun, when I think, “I played on this same playground 30 years ago…” Yep, I’m old.
Finally, I shared an important lesson that I learned this week… your life doesn’t have to be Pin-Tastic! I know that I share my love for Pinterest often. I hope that you find inspiration to make the ordinary things in life shine. But sometimes perfection can get overwhelming. You don’t have to let Pinterest rule your life. Or your birthday party. Your kids will still have fun. YOU can have fun.
Enjoy the rest of your week, and I hope to see you on ChiquitaMoms.com soon.
