Hi There ! I am Shruti from ArtsyCraftsyMom.com and so excited to be here! When Katie mentioned that she would love having some of us guest post for her, I was pretty excited. Its always nice to meet new people. Since I am new to the MomFavorites.com readers, let me tell you a little about us. I am a working mom to a 7 year old princess – Miss P . I blog about all the Artsy – Craftsy activities that we do together. It helps both of us bond at the end of a hard working day .
To Make a Rainy Day Collage, You’ll Need:
1 cup cake liner 1 6×6 shiny square paper in pink . I had origami paper which we used for the dresses.
Black marker
Glue stick
Scissors
White crepe paper for the clouds
Construction paper in rainbow colours for the rain drops
Blue Construction paper (craft paper) for the sky – A4 size.
How to Assemble Your Rainy Day Collage:
First Prep Your Paper Supplies!
– Cut the white crepe papers in various cloud shapes
– Cut the coloured sheets into rain drop shapes – We used Orange, Yellow, Blue, Black, Purple and pink. Well You can use any colour tha you have. You can even reuse the craft paper bits from a different project.
– We had a Flower pattern cupcake liner. We cut it in half to make 2 semi circle umbrellas
– Cut the Pink squares into 2 triangles . One big & 1 small. This will form the main girls. One big & 1 small.
– Cut a yellow circle for the sun.
Then Get to Gluing!
– First stick the clouds at the top part of the blue construction paper.
– Stick the 2 pink triangles at the bottom of the page. Doing this will let you fill up the picture.
– Stick the Cup cake liner to form the umbrella.
– Then come the rain drops. Place them randomly below the clouds.
– Then the sun peeping between the clouds.
– Now add details using a black marker – The boots , the J of the Umbrella. The smiley for the sun and picture complete!
That will surely add a bit of sunshine to any dreary rainy day. Don’t you think?
Thank you for having me here and I wish Katie a safe & happy Delivery.
