Looking for great carpet cleaners in Charlotte? Check out eco-friendly Zerorez!
Want to know my dirty little secret? Ok, it’s not so little. Or secret for that matter, if you happen to go upstairs in my house.
The secret? My dog pees. In our house. All the time. It’s gross.
She has her “spots” that she always goes in… our bedroom closet and the boys’ room. That’s her favorite place. Right in front of their dresser.
I do my best to clean up the pee when I find it, but finding it happens by luck. And by luck, I mean stepping into pee with a bare foot. Yay.
So, yes, despite my best efforts my upstairs smells like urine. The odor hits your nose the moment you make it to the second floor. Once you hit the boys’ room? Smells like public bathroom. Dirty public bathroom.
Are you cringing yet? Yeah, me too.
I had a popular carpet cleaner company come out to see if it would help. I had high hopes. Unfortunately, when they were done, my carpets were wet, it still smelled like pee, and there was a distinct additional layer of “wet dog smell” added to the mix.
Impressed, I was not.
However, I was recently put in contact with ZEROREZ® Charlotte, and I decided to challenge them with my pee-infused carpets. Lucky ducks.
The ZEROREZ® cleaning system avoids harsh soaps and shampoos, instead they employ a revolutionary, non-toxic water-based cleaning agent they call “Empowered Water™. They can call it whatever they like, ’cause you know what? It works.
I showed the gentlemen all of the places where my dog tends to pee. They poured their “Empowered Water” or what I would like to refer to as “Magic Juice” onto the carpets then sucked it up with some super-powered vacuum thingy.
I’m sure they’re cringing at my use of technical terms here, but y’all get the gist.
Where the company I had used earlier told me that once urine it hit the carpet pad there was nothing to be done, the ZEROREZ® folks rose to the challenge and got the job done. The stains were gone. The smell was gone. GONE!
They were fast, professional, and the carpets were practically dry by the time they were done.
I’d like to think that my dog will refrain from peeing on the carpets now that they’re clean and all. But she’s 12, and who am I to judge an incontinent old gal? When I’m her age (what’s that like, 88 in people years?), I’ll go wherever I please. We’ll just call ZEROREZ®!
