Purina ProPlan Bright Mind dog food helps senior dogs stay active and alert in their adult years!
Oh Molly Mae, the Sweet Pup. Mae-Girl. Molly Moo. The Maeski. She goes by a LOT of names in this house, and she is loved by many.
I happened to stumble into owning the best family pet ever. I’m sure a lot of you would like to enter your pet into that contest, but I’m gonna win. 😉 Ok, I’d at least come really close.
At 12 years old, my dog has been with my in my single days. There to cuddle with me and keep me warm and safe at night. Now, she’s there for my children. My kids adore her, and she mothers them.
On our bi-annual trips to the vet, her doctor has called her a “fortress”; I’m so glad for her health and want to keep her as strong and vibrant as possible in her senior years.
He also mentioned that we switch to a dog food specially formulated for older dogs, and to that end, we’ve recently started Molly on Purina ProPlan Bright Mind food for dogs 7+ years old.
According to experts at Purina ProPlan, around age seven, the glucose metabolism in a dog’s brain begins to change, which can affect memory, learning, awareness or decision makin. Switching to a dog food like Purina Bright Minds can help with an older dog’s alertness and cognitive abilities as they age.
I even took her shopping with at PetSmart to pick it up. And, got her little treat while there. She’s so much better behaved than my other dependents!
We’ve been slowly transitioning her to the Purina ProPlan Bright Mind food, as she has been on her other food for over a decade and I wanted to make sure it didn’t shock her system (or my floors)! She’s been taking to it well, and I look forward to sharing how she’s adapted after we’ve been on it for a little longer!
I’m hoping to see her a little more action and play out of this girl, yet!
Do you have a older dog, and if so, have you transitioned them to a senior dog food yet?
Molly seems like an awesome member of the family! Thanks for sharing! #client
