Road Trip Warriors and Car Pool Line Mavens – listen up! Be sure you’re always prepared for blow outs (of the diaper variety) with this Emergency Diaper Change Car Kit!
This kid has a dirty little secret. It’s only a secret if you see the photo. ‘Cause let me tell you… if you’re there, you can smell it. That kid is sitting on a full load.
A full load that exploded out the diaper, up the pants, and seeped into the car seat. Not fun, but made even worse when I tell you it was during a long ride home from vacation. Yuck.
I started out making very few commitments, but now, on top of running 1600 kilometers and promising to be a more “present” parent, I also decided to organize my car. Again. I’ve done it before and it didn’t stick.
This time I’ve kept it simple by making an Emergency Diaper Change Car Kit. I gathered up my supplies at Family Dollar, a convenient and one-stop-shop for all of my baby and cleaning needs at a great value.
The kit has enough supplies to last me a few emergencies before I have to refill it, and it’s stocked with all of the essentials for when poop hits the fan (or in this case, the car seat)!
First up, my diaper brand of choice – Huggies. It’s the best protection I’ve found, and if you’re kid’s gonna have their bums in the car seats for awhile, the absorption power of Huggies is a must. Be sure to get plenty of wipes, too. Sticky hands and dirty paws can often use a scrub down in the car, as well.
Cleaning and containment. While at Family Dollar, I was sure to pick up some disinfecting wipes, which I’ve found to be the easiest way to wipe down car seats in pinch, some storage bags for offending diapers and clothes, and a few throw-away shopping bags so we can chuck dirty diapers at the earliest convenience!
Finally, I always like to keep an extra set of clean clothes in the car. I picked pajamas, in a large size, so they can fit my littlest toddler and my preschooler in a pinch. You never know…
Everything fits in this little storage caddy I found at a great value at Family Dollar.
Tucked right in the back seat, everything is in reach when we need it! Don’t forget to stop at Family Dollar for all of the great Baby Items at an every day low price!
