A Scrapbook After My Own Heart. Discount & Giveaway from My Memories!

I made a scrapbook for my first son’s first year. A friend of mine has mentioned to me that if I do something for the first child, it’s only fair that you do it for the second. I’m not sure if I’m going to adopt that philosophy or not. I mean, it seems like a lot of pressure, right?

The jury is still out on the concept as a whole, but I do feel like I should put together a baby book for Will. He’ll be turning one in a month, so I suppose I should probably get on that. And, oh how I hate all the things that come with the job of scrapbooking: cutesy papers, glue, scissors and the like. It’s just not in me. Ugh.

Which is why I felt like it was divine intervention when I got an email from MyMemories.com, which offers software to make digital scrapbooks. Um, how awesome is that? You can create and print professional photobooks quickly and easily using the downloadable software.

This is an example of a page I put together in just a few minutes. I’m sure you can do so much more with it.
Just wanted to give you an example (although a bad one!), of the things you can do with the software!

Start with a professionally-designed template and customize it or create a photo book from scratch. Users are able to exercise complete creative control – change, move, add, or remove any element on a page. And, you can create pages quickly by dragging photos, clip art, graphics, and shapes directly onto the page. After completion, photobooks can be sent to a professional printer to have it printed as a hard-bound or soft-bound book on professional-quality paper.

The basic software retails for $39.97. From personal experience, I can tell you I’ve spent MUCH MORE than that on all of the sh-tuff required for a cut-and-paste scrapbook!!

All right, I’m sold! What about you? Well, I’ve got two opportunities for you to get scrapping (digitally, that is). First, we’ll be giving away one My Memories Software Suite to a lucky CMF reader. But, everyone can use this promo code: STMMMS33771 to get a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the MyMemories.com store. Yep, that would be 20 bucks in free stuff. Not bad, if I do say so myself.

To be eligible for the giveaway, please be sure to enter by the end of the day on Thursday, March 8th. The winner will be chosen by Random.org on March 9th. You can get up to four entries. You’ll get one each time you:

  • Fill out the form below. Yes, I am that nice. 🙂
  • Tweet: “I want to win the @MyMemoriesSuite giveaway from @cltmomfaves!”
  • Share this link on Facebook (you can copy & paste this: http://www.charlottemomfavorites.com/2012/03/scrapbook-after-my-own-heart-discount.html)
  • Leave a comment sharing what you’d like to make a scrapbook for!

Good luck!

I am so behind on my boys books. This might help me jump start before H turns 1 and J turns 3! Yikes!

I love scrapbooking and would love to start doing it digitally, babies don’t leave much time to do it the old fashioned way!
