Sending kids off to day camp? Don’t miss this essential Day Camp Packing Guide to make sure your kids leave (and come home) with everything they need!

Let the good times roll! It’s summer.  Can I get a woot-woot?!? I’m both super excited (We all get to sleep in in the morning and not rush at bedtime!) and freaking out (What the heck am I gonna do with three kids all summer?).

Last night we spent some family time on the front steps dreaming up all of the wonderful things that we can do this summer:  Fly kites, build sandcastles, play in the sprinkler, bake cookies, host playdates, watch Minecraft movies (Will), drink margaritas by the pool (me), go on bike rides (Jon), drink lots of bottles (James) and build Legos (Graham).  Yeah, it sounds pretty fab if you ask me.

No matter what gets crossed off of our summer bucket list, my one goal for this summer is to spend as much time as possible with the kids.  The one thing I learned after being away from the kids for so long while Jon and I traveled last month was how much I adore my children.  I want to soak up every moment that I can with them.  Watch them play, smile, wrestle and sleep.  Isn’t watching your children sleep the most zen thing ever?

But, I have a feeling my kids are eventually going to get tired of me staring at them.  When that happens, I’ll be sending them off to day camp.  My kids LOVE them some day camp.  Last year, Graham proclaimed that the week at LEGO camp was the best week of his life.  And Will?  Well, he got a Popsicle at his day camp, so, naturally, it he’s chomping at the bit to go again.

The only intimidating part of the day camp process for me last year was packing.  The kids needed so much stuff.  Play clothes, swim clothes, lunch, water, snacks, towels….

And then at the end of the week when they came back with half of it, it was a little disheartening.

Not this year, though.  I got a plan.  And by a plan, I mean Mabel’s Labels.  Have you ever tried these things?  I LOVE them.  When it comes to summer camp, I put the labels on everything from underwear to sunscreen.

The Limited Edition Camp Label Pack is designed for everything that goes to summer camp to help avoid mix-ups and lost items.  Plus, they are laundry, dishwasher & microwave-safe.   You can choose between tons of different color/font options and themes, but I’m kinda lovin’ these little racoons! 🙂
