The other night we had company in town.  Guests that wouldn’t be able to join us for Thanksgiving, so I wanted to make the occasion special.  To me, that means a well-set table (with real napkins), a well-thought out appetizer, and a special beverage that everyone can enjoy.

That’s the inspiration behind this Cranberry Spiced Holiday Punch.  With no booze and tons of bright flavor it’s a drink that the kids and adults can enjoy.  And, with beautiful flower and cranberry ice cubes it’s just really pretty.

With Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry, available at Kroger, our punch takes on notes of the holidays with the addition of warm spice notes to everyone’s favorite lemon lime soda. And with Simply Cranberry and Simply Orange, I’m adding real fruit juice for citrus and berry notes.

You totally don’t need to make these flower and berry ice cubes to enjoy this punch.  But, it does add some holiday flair.  Make sure you get organically raised flowers and you give them a good rinse before adding them to the silicone ice cube trays.  If you can’t find organic flowers, just use cranberries.  They are beautiful too.  The ice cubes will be set in about 12-18 hours.

The punch is super easy to make – simply combine the Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry, Simply Cranberry and Simply Orange juices.  Just be sure to make this when you are ready to serve it, otherwise it will be less fizzy.  And, we simply can’t have that. 😉

The cinnamon sticks and rosemary sprigs add a nice touch, but aren’t essential.  No need to make an extra trip to the store – just use what you have on hand!
