Winter in the South, a Southern Coffee Cocktail

This coffee cocktail recipe is sponsored by Charleston Coffee Roasters.  All opinions are my own.

The ‘Winter in the South’ Coffee Cocktail will warm up your hands and your soul this holiday season.  Easy to make and requiring just a few ingredients, this warm coffee cocktail will keep the party going on cool winter evenings.

Winter in the South… things look a little different “down South” around Christmas time. There’s not much snow on the ground, and there’s not even much of a chill in the air.  But, we definitely know how to celebrate the season properly – with a perfectly crafted Southern Coffee Cocktail made with Charleston Coffee Roasters coffee, local bourbon, farmer’s market honey, and cream. Yes, real cream.

Enjoy our Winter in the South Coffee Cocktail in lieu of your morning cup of joe (it’s the holidays, I give you permission). Have it fireside cuddled up next to the one you love, or pour it into a to-go mug for a little liquid courage if you’re headed out caroling. Everyone sings better after a little bourbon, dontcha think?

Selecting Coffee for our Coffee Cocktail

When you have recipes with few ingredients like our Winter in the South Coffee Cocktail, you want to choose your ingredients with intention. Charleston Coffee Roasters selects the world’s best beans and roasts each batch to bring out their best flavor. And because they roast what they sell, their beans are always fresh.

I like to buy whole bean coffee and grind it at home with our burr grinder, but you can also start with ground coffee as well. In this southern coffee cocktail, we’re using Charleston Coffee Roasters Charleston Organic Whole Bean Coffee. The Holiday Blend or Beach House Blend would also be perfect for this recipe.

You can purchase Charleston Coffee Roasters coffee here.  Be sure to use the code: ‘katie’ (yup, that’s me) to save 20%* on all orders before 1/8/22.  (*The discount code excludes their holiday special.). You can also find Charleston Coffee Roasters coffees at select retailers.  Look them up here.

I have freshly ground coffee, lots of lovely honey. No bourbon, I’m not much of a drinker (alcohol).

Note – heavy cream is missing from your list of ingredients. I didn’t notice until I read it again.

Now I’m curious about southern coffee ideas. I live in the north where its quite cold now. A delicious hot coffee would be lovely today. 🙂
