(And no, that is not me running. I run fully clothed and my boobs {sadly} aren’t that big.)
Planning Summer Vacations – Now’s the time, y’all. If you are interested in booking beach vacations this summer, it’s time to start reserving your rental. I’ve always had good luck with VRBO. The Harding clan is looking forward to our Emerald Isle trip and possible Tybee Island trip. On rainy winter days, it sure is fun to browse and select the perfect site for a family beach get-together. I see margaritas, flip flops and sand castles in my future. Can’t wait!
Movie Nights – Jonnie and I have a hard time agreeing on television, but we have remarkably similar tastes in movies. After the kids are in bed we don our comfy pj’s and saddle up on the couch with a frosty IPA and air-popped popcorn. Flicks we’ve watched recently and enjoyed include Pirate Radio, Money Ball, Bridesmaids and Melancholia.
Office Hours – My husband rocks. I’ve been feeling a (little!) overwhelmed lately by keeping up with the blog, playgroup, family, house, and everything else a mom has to deal with. Knowing that a happy mom makes a happy family, Jonnie takes the reigns of the household once a week and I hole up in a bookstore with my computer, to-do list, and a sharp pencil. I stay for two to three hours, get wired on coffee and tackle all that I’ve put off throughout the week. I think every mom, regardless of what’s on her plate, could benefit from a few “office hours” every once in a while.
What’s new in your house this month?
Your husband is a gem!
We LOVE Emerald Isle too! We keep talking about booking soon, thanks for the reminder. Do you use VRBO for there? We always use Bluewater but noticed a lot of VRBO signs last September we were thre. And have you stayed at the Point?? It’s perfect for little ones! Lots of tide pools at low tide.
@Kristine – we use VRBO for Emerald Isle (and pretty much most family trips where we need multiple rooms.) It’s always worked out well.
@Jennie – yep, he’s pretty awesome!
