I think my son may be metrosexual. I understand that young boys tend to gravitate towards things that their mothers are doing. That’s why I’m not concerned about his interest in my lipstick, my high heels, and the color pink. What does stand out to me is his fear of getting his hands dirty, his fascination with picking out shoes for an outfit, and how he loves to brush his hair. Fear not, I tell myself. This is a world where the metrosexual is no longer hiding out in a Sex in the City episode. I see him next to me at the salon getting a manicure, beside me at Nordstrom’s picking out a pair of leather loafers, and at the wine store discussing the merits of an oak-aged Chardonnay over a steel-barrel aged Chardonnay.

Yes, it’s French, and yes it rings in at $35 per 5.25 oz. bottle. Now, after using it for a few weeks, I’m tempted to steal it for myself.
