For me, that stick, the stick the let all the other marbles fall, was my scrapbook. I had no idea how much that thing was holding me back. Until I FINALLY finished. Now, I feel unleashed. I can conquer anything. Well, almost. I can clean my house. I can put photos in albums. I can plant my fall garden. I can form that playgroup LLC that I’ve been talking about for years.
My reason for sharing this with you is simple. I’m sure you’ve got a project that’s hung onto your to-do list for longer than you’d like to admit. Whether it’s cleaning out your attic, organizing the clothes your children have outgrown, or… putting together that scrapbook, I’ve got a simple bit of advice. Just do it. It may seem like a huge chore, but break it down into a few days of manageable tasks. The sense of accomplishment you’ll feel is enough of a reward, but it will also let other things you’ve been putting off seem like a piece of cake. And who doesn’t like cake?
