Diaper Bag Discussion, Part 2

As it turns out, the whole Diaper Bag Blog has turned out to be one of my most popular posts. Who knew this would be such an interesting topic? Apparently when you combine babies and accessories, you get a lot of interested moms! When out and about today, several moms stopped me to discuss the merits of different bags I had posted about and had suggestions for other bags to look into. I also shouted across a busy store to harass a mom I don’t know very well about the tote she was toting. Because I’ve hit such a nerve, I have more info to share, and because I’m still obsessed with the whole thing, I thought we could embark upon Day 2 of the Diaper Bag Challenge/Discussion.

First, I’d like to mention that the OiOi Pewter Crushed Quilted Tote and the Charlie bag by Timi and Leslie have by far been the most talked about bags that I listed yesterday. I think it’ their purse-like quality and baby-bag practicality that has won most of us over. Because I failed to mention this yesterday, I’d also like to add that the Charlie bag does come in other colors including Black, Mustard (shown to the right), Teal and Orange.

Second, I’ve gotten quite a bit of feedback from moms suggesting I check out Ju Ju Be Diaper Bags. This company certainly seems to have the whole diaper bag thing down. With pockets for everything, easily wipe-able fabrics, and multiple styles, it’s easy to see why these bags are so popular. Of the bags currently available, the style I liked the best was Be Spicy. Most of their fabrics are a little too “loud” for me, but I thought “Pretty Tweet” was a nice option (shown to the left). The bag retails for $150.

Finally, I thought I would forward you the name of the diaper bag that I stopped a mom in a store to find out about. The company is called Bella Tunno, and they have some pretty cute bags, which as it turns out, turn out to be under $100. Woohoo! Once again, we’re back into the world of patterns, so if you are looking for something that might “blend in” a little more I’ll direct you back up to the Charlie bag. But, these are definitely worth looking into. I liked both the Beautifully Basic Diaper Bag ($80, pictured left) and the Super Star Slouch ($90, pictured right).
