Have five minutes? Ha! That’s what a lot of you are probably saying. That’s what I am saying. If you do happen to find yourself with a spare five minutes, like me, you’ll probably run to the coffee pot to refill your mug so you can find the energy to tackle everything on your to-do list. Not a coffee drinker? Then, I’ve got a really handy-dandy list of things to fill up your spare five minutes.
Courtesy of Real Simple magazine, here are some great five-minute mini-chores to help you feel productive. Complete any of these items, and I think you deserve one heck of a pat on the back. Or a cup of coffee. You decide.
- Check your voice mail.
- Pitch three old items from the refrigerator.
- Test pens or markers and toss the dead ones.
- Clear off the top of the refrigerator.
- Remove gum wrappers, receipts, and ATM slips from your purse.
- Download the pictures in your digital camera to your computer.
- Throw out all expired coupons.
- Scan your sock drawer and put any one-offs in a basket. If their matches don’t turn up after the next laundry day, toss them.
- Write a thank-you note you’ve been putting off.
Here’s hoping you find five minutes to be productive today!
