I’ve learned a lot in the last few years. Mostly about how to handle the things that come up unexpectedly, like managing fevers in the middle of the night, that wet-wipes should always be within arms’ reach if a child under four is nearby, and crayons and toddlers should never be left in a room together alone. I consider myself lucky. I haven’t had to learn a lot of the other serious things that a lot of parents have to deal with – like how life goes on if you lose a baby prematurely, or how to raise a child with severe birth defects due to premature birth. Wow… that would be intense, to say the least.
Thankfully, there is an organization that is helping to make sure that the number of parents and children that suffer due to premature birth is on the decline, and that those that are born early, survive and lead normal lives. That organization is the March for Babies, and I am so glad to have the opportunity to help them raise funds.
I know a lot of you that read this blog are in the South Charlotte Playgroup, or are somehow related to me by blood or marriage. Some of you just happened to drop by for the day, and are here without any obligation whatsoever. For that I’m truly grateful! But, I have a favor to ask of ALL of you – Please consider donating to my efforts to raise funds for the March for Babies via my personal fundraising efforts or through my playgroup’s team. ANY amount is appreciated. You can click the links below and you’ll be directed to a secure page on the March for Babies site.
