August 12, 2011 Mom Time

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…

My top four picks from my Target excursion today:

1. Plum Organics/Boon Spoon: The spoon twists onto Plum Organic (and other baby/toddler food pouches) to easily dispense food. Ahh… if only they had these for Graham. That kid could seriously put back some baby food. This would have been SO much cleaner! Guess that’s why I had another kid. So I could try the Boon Spoon out!

2. Aden and Anais SwaddlePlus Blankets: It took about three months, but I finally realized… every savvy parent totes the Aden and Anais blanket. Will likes to feel like he’s part of the “in crowd”, so I grabbed a four pack. It set me back a few bucks, but Will now feels cool and I certainly feel savvier. Plus, my big baby stayed swaddled in his blanket throughout naptime. Woohoo!

3. Ella’s Kitchen Baby Food Pouches: If I hear one more person say that they make their own baby food because it’s sooooo easy, I will strangle someone. Perhaps that mom that says it’s so simple. You know, she just sits her three-year-old down at the table to practice his second language, while she nurses her baby and makes purees from organic, non-genetically-modified produce from her backyard garden. Puhlease. While she’s doing that, I’ll continue to purchase my Ella’s Kitchen Spinach, Apple, and Rutabaga puree-in-a-pouch. Thank you very much.

4. Merona Collection Ramone Tunic Top: It couldn’t be all about the baby! Loving the jewel tones for late summer. The tunic is breezy enough for late summer heat and provides a little extra coverage for cooler summer evenings. Call it wishful thinking.

This is why I don’t go to Target too often!
