My inner Mrs. Santa Claus is wearing out. She’s calling it a day. Christmas shopping is done. Dozens of dozens of cookies and treats have been baked. I’ve even crafted. Now it’s time to retreat. All the way back into my living room.
The kiddos and I will put on our comfy PJ’s; popcorn and egg nog (with booze for the grown-ups and sprinkles for the big kid) will be made. We will turn on the fireplace, pull out comfy pillows and blankets, and grab the remote. Yep, it’s time for the Harding Family Christmas Movie Night (hereby to be known as HFCMN for brevity’s sake.) Nothing like a Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas this time of year to kill any grinch-y-ness that may try to seep out.
You gotta admit, HFCMN sounds pretty awesome, right? Well, I think you should join me. In the tradition, that is. Not my living room. 🙂 Last year, I think I was more prompt with my publishing of the holiday television schedule. But, last year I was pregnant, and that urge to nest in my living room struck a little earlier. Let’s be honest, that urge to live in my PJ pants on the living room couch lasted for about 9 months!
Anywho, it’s not too late to catch up on some great holiday TV. Set the DVR, and then set aside some downtown to have a your own (insert initial)FCMN.
