It’s GO Time! Running and Photo Challenges Begin, plus FUN Playdate Ideas!

I think March 1st is one of the most exciting days of the year. There’s no official celebration, per se, but the feeling of spring and new opportunities is in the air. For those of you that have been following my blog, you know that March 1st also is the official start date for two challenges that will last the duration of the month.

The first, A Photo a Day Challenge, will inspire our inner photographer to come out and share in the beauty of spring! Join me on Instagram at cltmomfaves and lets’ share our pictures over the next 31 days! March 1st is “Up,” so here’s my first installation. For the rest, you’ll have to visit Instagram!

Our second challenge will motivate you to get into short and swim suit shape! We’ll be running 100 kilometers this month. Join up for dailymile.com where we will encourage each other to get out the door and put one foot in front of the other. 100 kilometers is totally doable. It equates to 62.1 miles and is just over 2 miles a day. You can do it. I can do it. Let’s cheer each other on! My profile on dailymile is Katie Harding. “Friend” me, and I’ll “friend” you back!

Finally, if you’re in the SCP, spring is the time where we get to add fun and seasonal playdates at the park. You’ll find events like our Getting Buggy playdate coming up tomorrow, A Spring Has Sprung event where we’ll be planting spring herbs, our annual Easter Egg Hunt, a celebration of Earth Day and a Life’s a Fairytale playdate!

To get in the spirit of things, I’ve curated several Pinterest boards to inspire even the least crafty of us to create fun and festive treats for our spring events. Not in the SCP? Perhaps the boards will get your creative spirits flowing and inspire you to host your own playdate with friends. Check out my boards on pinterest for all the crafty food ideas!

Here’s what I’m working on today for our Getting Buggy playdate! Simply open cookies, stick in some pretzels, glue back on with cookie icing and decorate!
