These are prefold diapers from greenmountiandiapers.com. I love love love them! I have been using these since my daughter was born (although, these are large size). The sizes range from preemie to large toddler.
I have one more size left to go and then it’s potty training time! So… first things first. Prefolds are the most basic next to flat diapers. You will need your diaper, a diaper cover and a snappie or diaper pins. ( I used pins in the beginning but prefer the snappie so I won’t poke my squirmy baby!)
You will fold your diaper.
Next flare out the top sides so it looks like it has wings.
Place your prepared diaper under your baby and position it so it will provide good coverage( I put bloomers on my daughter so she wouldn’t be exposed for the picture:)
Now pull one wing over like you would be wrapping a package.
Next pull the other wing over a and hold them together with your fingers. It’s okay to pull the diaper tight since as the baby moves around regularly the diaper will start to loosen.
Get your snappie and let the teeth grab onto one side.
Then the other side. Keep your fingers on the diaper so it stays together while your securing with the snappie.
Finally pull the center part of the snappie down to secure the middle of the diaper.
Slide your open diaper cover under your baby and once again position for coverage so it will cover all of the cloth. This is a Bummie’s brand diaper cover.
Now close up your diaper cover just like a regular disposable. I have Velcro covers but they also make ones with snaps.
Make sure you don’t leave any cloth exposed. Tuck the diaper in the cover so you don’t end up getting pee pee all over your baby’s clothes.
Here is a fully diapered bottom and it was done in enough time to keep my daughter from moving.. THAT’S QUICK!
