Taming the Toddler: Pinterest to the Rescue

Let’s just say that my toddler, Will, is currently a “challenge.” At not quite 1 1/2, he is more than a handful.  His communication skills are “lacking,” his screaming is loud, and his aim when throwing things is remarkable.  We’re working on the language skills, which I’m hoping will strengthen faster than his throwing arm.  We’re also working on encouraging him to focus his energy elsewhere.

I’ve been on a mission to hunt down the best of the Toddler Activities from Pinterest, fellow-bloggers, and beyond.  I’ve come up with a handy list that I wanted to share.  The Spaghetti-Cheerio combo was a big hit with Will and the dog.  And I’ll be heading to Michael’s tomorrow for the rest of the supplies!

A treat and an activity? Score.  He’s feisty, but still kinda cute.

What kid doesn’t like pulling toilet paper or tissues? Plus a crafty way to use that wipe box!
My kid likes to push things.  I’m gonna try this Pom Pom trick soon!
I had the supplies, so I tried it the pipe cleaner/colander Pinterest-inspired activity.  I think I was more entertained than Will, but maybe in a few months?
Now, if you could just share some tips on how to keep toddlers from throwing stuff at you….

And, we're making them 4 ways. My kids prefer them with sprinkles. I'm a brown sugar & cinnamon kinda gal. Best part is - there's plenty for everyone!
