I was not compensated for this post, but I was given a product to review. All opinions are my own.
We recently had a holiday party for my husband’s work. There was a lot of gifting. White elephant gifts, regular gifts, lots of holiday love. And quite a bit of fake smiling over gifts that were flops.
Not surprisingly, when it comes to gifting your co-workers (or most people for that matter), the best way to guarantee that your gift will be a keeper – GIVE THEM A GIFT CARD. Seriously, it’s the only gift that makes people genuinely smile. And, if you’re gonna go through the effort of gifting something to someone, they may as well smile about it!
As timing would have it, I was approached by a company called Gift Card Rescue and they asked me to promote their site. I was ho-hum about it. What’s the big deal? Well, I looked into it folks.
The big deal: Great gift cards at discount prices. Like up to 35% off gift cards for major brands. Fo’ real, folks.
For Example:
Anthropologie Gift Cards – 17% off
Apple Store Gift Cards – 5% off
Barnes & Noble Gift Cards – 15% off
H&M Gift Cards – 23% off
Starbucks – 10% off
Target – 4.5% off
Kinda cool, right?
Even cooler? They also BUY un-wanted gift cards, at up to 90% of the original value. At first, I thought – who would do this? Then I thought – ME! I immediately went into my stock of unused gift cards and pulled out a few unused Omaha Steak gift cards and another one for a national chain restaurant that we don’t often go to. The total value of the cards was $200 and I ended up getting $150 in cash for them. I’ve had them for over a year, so $150 vs. plastic cards is a win in my book!
If you’ve got a few more gifts to grab before the big day (or end up with a few gift cards that you know you won’t use) – Check it out!
