Weeks 3 & 4: My Journey to Lose 10 Pounds

During the holidays….

quote-life-is-a-roller-coaster-you-can-either-scream1
Yeah, yeah.  No one said it was going to be easy.  But a roller coaster ride?  I wasn’t quite expecting that either.  Every day the scale stupefies me.

I weigh WHAT?????

Sometimes I’m high-fiving myself (because I’ve got mad-skill) and sometimes I slump and tell myself it’s water weight. No biggie.  I’ll pee it out by tomorrow.  (TMI? So sorry.  But,  you are reading a post about my weight.  So I blame you.) Either way, I think we can all agree: Trying to lose weight is never a picnic.  Especially during the holidays.

It’s been so busy lately, I didn’t even realize I missed last week’s post.  But I’m sharing it now.  Just to show you how dedicated I am to this process.   I’ve been literally running  around like a crazy person.  Actually I’ve been running in place. Which is even crazier.

I’ve been almost always hungry, and, if you believe what the food chart says, also sometimes slightly inebriated..  But no drunk driving.  Or drunk taking care of the kids.  I promise.  No need to call DSS.  K?

So let’s get down to the skinny.  Or not-so skinny.  Sorry, it’s late. I’m punchy.

Two weeks ago (11/18), I weighed in at: 126.2.  My starting weight.  Unfortunately, that was after two weeks of this whole process (11/4).  On Monday, two weeks later and post-Thanksgiving and all of the eating and drinking involved, I’m happy to report I’m down to 124.4.  I’ve been as low as 122.2.

But, what goes down must come up?  Or: what goes down the hatch makes the scale go up!  🙂  Regardless, I’ll take my nearly two pound loss over four weeks.  I’m sure I would’ve gained two pounds during this time had I not decided to take matters into my own hands.

So, have I inspired you?  Want to join this roller coaster ride with me?

And, because I NEED these charts to keep me accountable, here are my week’s 3 & 4 Food and Fitness Journals.  Let’s just gloss over the fact that I completely skipped it on Thanksgiving.  Every girl needs a day off!

You look to be the slimmest little thing. Not sure how you could lose any weight. Regardless, I know how tough it is to lose the last 10 pounds. I hope that you’re about to get off the roller coaster. I look forward to reading about your successes.

I’m a new follower of yours on Bloglovin and would love it if you linked up to my weekly Hop (http://www.journeysofthezoo.com/2013/12/bloglovin-hop-december5.html).
