Angel Food Cake with Arnold Palmer Glaze + More Milo’s Tea Recipes!

Angel Food Cake with Arnold Palmer Glaze, www.MomFavorites.comIt’s really, really hot, and I’m really, really pregnant.  These two things do not go well together.  Remember the game Edward Fortyhands from the college days?  No?  Hmmm.  Well, google that, then picture me, eight months pregnant, but sub the beer for tall insulated glasses of Sweet Tea or Lemonade.

Baby Bumps & Lemonade, www.MomFavorites.com That’s literally a picture of me (well, my baby bump).  Writing this post. With my insulated glass filled with Milo’s Lemonade.

Milo's Drinks Assortment, www.MomFavorites.com So now that I’ve convinced you that I literally live for refreshing drinks these days, let me share why I love Milo’s so:  They’re all natural.  No preservatives.  Have a fresh brewed taste.  And come ready-made.   Oh yeah.  Momma’s getting to lazy to brew her own tea.  And let’s be honest, I was always too lazy to make my own lemonade.

You really can’t go wrong with a cup full of ice and any of Milo’s drinks, but since I love to play in the kitchen, I thought it would be fun to come up with a dessert with the flavors of one of my favorite combo’s – Sweet Tea and Lemonade (ya know, the Arnold Palmer.)

So, here goes, it’s so stupid-simple but SO DARN YUM!

Angel Food Cake with Arnold Palmer Glaze

Ingredients:
Angel Food Cake – You can use this Martha Stewart Angel Food Cake Recipe,  a box mix or just pick one up from the grocery store!
Milo’s Sweet Tea & Milo’s Lemonade (or really make things simple with Milo’s Famous Sweet Tea with Lemonade. Woah, right?)
Confectioner’s Sugar

Directions: Make cake and cool completely (or pop it out of the store bought container) and place on cake plate.  Combine 2 cups of confectioner’s sugar, 2 tablespoons of lemonade and 2 tablespoons of sweet tea (or 4 tablespoons of sweet tea lemonade).  Stir and add sugar or liquid to desired consistency.  Pour over cake and serve with your Milo’s beverage of choice!

I was photographing this bad-boy in the summer sun, so the glaze got a little loose for my taste.  But, go for what ya like!
Photo Shoot Crashers, www.MomFavorites.com
It was all I could do to keep my little guy out of the photo-shoot.  I eventually bribed him by promising him cake and lemonade if he left me alone for five minutes.

I was good on my promise.

Love Milo’s?  Wanna try some more recipes?  Here are some other great things to mix up in the kitchen with Milo’s Drinks this summer.  Oh, and if you’re hunting down Milo’s in your area, you can use this locator tool.  In Charlotte, you can get Milo’s Drinks at Target, Walmart & Whole Foods.
