On Monday, my baby James will be 9 weeks. Next week also marks my six week date from having major surgery. I’ll post more on both of those soon. I needed to put some time between the events and writing about them. I needed to heal both emotionally and physically.
So many people came to my side when I needed them. From the friends that brought me meals, to readers that sent me get-well messages, and to neighbors I barely knew that dropped off sweet treats and full-blown feasts… Thank you.
My family – parents, in-laws, sister, and kids – also pitched in big time. My mom and dad took my oldest boys during both hospital stays. My in-laws came and helped with everything for a month. And my kids stepped up to the plate. Big time.
From pacifier duty, to lullaby singing, to becoming cleaning ninjas my kids did a lot of growing up these last two months. A little more on that last one…
They’ve been sweeping and dusting ninja fools. I’m thrilled that they love it. And, they’ve been pretty effective at tackling small cleaning projects around the house.
My little cleaning ninjas are great, bug I also have a fantastic cleaning service. Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure my house was clean during a time of insanity for my family. Not only did she clean the house, she tidied, put away toys, washed dishes, and did my laundry too. She stayed way longer than usual, and didn’t let pay her extra for her time.
I mean have you seen the commercials? Hilarious. And, makes me love Swiffer even more. Thanks for making a horrible time a little less awful (and messy)!
