Charlotte Color Vibe Run Giveaway+ Awesome Smoothie Recipe

disclosure Be sure to pin the awesome smoothie recipe at the end of the post! Makes a perfect pre-run breakfast! Oh, and did we mention the Color Vibe Run ticket giveaway?

Getting ready for our first every family 5K with a great Strawberry Banana and Kiwi Breakfast Smoothie! This is an AWESOME pre-workout recipe!

Besides spring, do you know what season it is?  Race season.

For a momma that is just getting back into her routine of exercising and more mindful eating, this is a big deal.  It’s time for me to take my runs off of the treadmill and get behind the jogging stroller.  It’s time.  For our first family (of five) 5K.

I’m so excited to participate in the Color Vibe Run, which is being held on Saturday March 28th at Concord Mills, and is sponsored by Tum-E Yummies.  I’ve always wanted to do a race where you get coated in color, and I think my kids and husband will be equally thrilled with the opportunity to participate.

The course, which is around the Concord Mills Mall, promises to be a colorful mess!

Getting ready for our first every family 5K with a great Strawberry Banana and Kiwi Breakfast Smoothie! This is an AWESOME pre-workout recipe! As this is my first 5K post-baby, I’ve been working hard these last few weeks to increase my mileage, so I’m not totally dragging!  Although, with a stroller I’m sure it’s gonna be a challenge.  I just gotta decide if I can handle the single stroller with the big kid or the double stroller with the two smaller kids.  So many decisions.

Regardless, I know I’m going to need some serious breakfast fuel to get me through the morning, and I’m going to need to bring some great snacks and treats for the kids to keep them happy in their strollers.  Fortunately, I have a few ideas up my sleeve.

First off – I have one heckuva Strawberry-Banana-Kiwi Smoothie recipe that I love because it makes me feel full, and has plenty of protein, but doesn’t weigh me down.  It’s a pretty breakfast and you should definitely pin this or print this off so you can whip one of these up.  Really, really good.

To a blender add two cups of chopped strawberries, two frozen bananas, and two kiwis, peeled.

Next up?  I’ve got some great on the go snacks ready for the kids.  They LOVE Tum-E Yummies vitamin juices, and since they are so colorful (and sponsors of the Color Vibe Run) they’re perfect for the race!  We’ll also have a few granola bars for their bellies.  You know, cause they’ll need that extra energy to get them through a 5K… in a stroller! 🙂

Wanna run with me?  Or push me in a stroller if I get worn out mid-race?  Enter to win two free tickets!!  Or… you could enter to win your own tix here:
