Viewing Party Playdate + White Chocolate Cheesecake Popcorn

Time to host a viewing party in honor of the Kids’ Choice Awards sponsored by Capri Sun Roaring Waters. This White Chocolate Cheesecake Popcorn is the perfect treat for the event! #CollectiveBias #KidsChoiceDrink

This year, my kids are pumped about the Kids Choice Awards. They love the contenders in most of the categories, so as a family we recently sat down to vote for our favorites.

We all agreed on some: Best Carton (Phineas & Ferb, of course), Most Addicting Game (hello. Minecraft). Others were a little more fiercely debated like best movie. My kids were resolute about Lego Movie, where I was leaning towards How to Train Your Dragon 2. I have a feeling they’ll win.

We’ll be hosting a viewing party to celebrate the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, March 28th, and I’ve already got the perfect spread in mind!

We’ll have a killer selection of Capri Sun Roaring Waters (they’re the sponsor of the event)! My kids love the flavors (if they were up for a Kids’ Choice Award, they’d vote for Strawberry-Kiwi), and I love that they are lower calorie and better for them than the average drink box.  Be on the lookout for the special Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters Kids’ Choice Awards display at Walmart when you go to get your Viewing Party supplies!

To go with, I’ve whipped up a delectable White Chocolate Cheesecake Popcorn. This will have everybody swooning!

First you’ll compile your ingredients and pop the corn.

Then, melt butter and white chocolate chips with the corn syrup.

 

Stir often and until smooth. Then add the marshmallows and cream cheese, and stir until smooth.

Next add in the half packet of pudding mix and heavy cream, stirring until it’s mixed in, then pour over popped popcorn and gently mix and toss with sprinkles!

Serve immediately or once cooled to room temperature store in air-tight containers for up to two days.

White Chocolate Cheesecake Popcorn

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels, air popped
• 1 bag of white chocolate chips
• 3/4 cup of corn syrup
• 3 tablespoons of butter
• 1/2 bag of marshmallows
• 4 ounces of cream cheese, cubed
• 1/4 cup of heavy cream
• 1/2 packet of Cheesecake instant pudding
• sprinkles

Instructions

1. In a heavy-bottomed sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter and white chocolate chips with the corn syrup. Stir often and until smooth. Then add the marshmallows and cream cheese, and stir until smooth.
2. Next add in the half packet of pudding mix and heavy cream, stirring until it's mixed in.
3. Pour over popped popcorn and gently mix. Then toss with sprinkles! Serve immediately or once cooled to room temperature store in air-tight containers for up to two days.
