Not over yet! Don’t miss out on the best of summer fun with this Easy Peasy Summer Bucket List – Totally doable in one day. The Best of Summer Fun in one great Summer Bucket List!
1: Watermelon – slice it up and bring it outside for the perfect summer refresher. It’s not summer without it.
2: Water play – Fill up a kiddie pool and let little ones splash. Pull out a sprinkler. Get to the pool. It doesn’t have to be fancy. It just has to be wet on a hot day. Don’t ya just wanna squeeze those baby thighs?
3: Klondike Bars – Blast from the past. Nothing was better than a Klondike bar on the front porch when I was growing up. If you ask me, Klondike Bars = Summer. But now, with over 12 different flavors, there’s something for everyone.
I can’t get enough of the Rocky Road (why did I not know about this when I was pregnant???). Will is totally digging the new Cookie Dough Swirl (with ribbons of cookie dough mixed in with the vanilla ice cream). And Graham and those Oreo Klondike Sandwiches are inseparable. Klondike Bars are available in six packs for a suggested retail price of $3.99.
4. DIY Pizza – Let the kids make pizza and decide what to put on it. My kids wanted sausage. And cheddar cheese. So that’s what they got. Guess what? They ate it too. Win – win.
5: Sparklers – Sure, I’ve heard you aren’t supposed to let kids play with fire. But… with supervision? And sparklers? Sure! Let’s do this. I’ve heard that if you put a solo cup over the kids’ hand, with a whole to hold the sparkler, it keeps the sparks from hitting little arms.
5: Fireflies – I’ll never forget catching fireflies in my backyard as a kid. I hope my kids will remember their summers with the same fondness. I love to go out in the backyard at dusk with them, mason jar in hand and capture as many as we can. And of course, set them free at the end of the night. No need to notify PETA.
6: Smiles – Smiles. Without screens. I have succeeded.
