Sometimes, that frozen cheese pizza is a last minute solution for busy evenings.  But sometimes… that cheese pizza is your blank canvas – ready to be turned into a creative and super-tasty treat with these frozen pizza upgrades!

I always have Milton’s Four Cheese Cauliflower Crust Pizza in the freezer.  And sure, it’s super-tasty as is!  If the kids are feeling picky, it’s a great go-to meal solution… hello, hidden veggies in the crust!

My favorite way to serve Milton’s Four Cheese Cauliflower Crust Pizza though, is all dressed up.  I love mix and matching proteins (think leftovers like grilled chicken or sausage), fresh veggies, and herbs for unique combinations you wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else! 

Here are a few of the winning frozen pizza upgrades: Sweet & Spicy Soppressata Pizza, perfect foodies who enjoy their pizza with a little extra kick!  Want to keep it healthy?  Try our Pizza Salad!  With this recipe, you get all the great pizza taste, and a full serving of veggies!  If you’ve got kids, you must let try our recipe for Make Your Own Pizza Buddies!  They just might try some new ingredients for the sake of making their pizza faces extra fun!

Sweet & Spicy Soppressata Pizza

Sweet & Spicy Soppressata Pizza

Yield: 4
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

Impress your foodie friends with this Sweet & Spicy Soppressata Pizza!  Start by topping a Milton’s Four Cheese Cauliflower Crust Pizza with thinly sliced Soppressata (or spicy pepperoni) and bright banana peppers. Finished with a spicy honey drizzle and sprinkled with fresh herbs, this pizza is best served al fresco with a cold brew.

Ingredients

  • Milton’s Four Cheese Cauliflower Crust Pizza
  • 2 ounces thinly sliced soppressata
  • 1/4 cup sliced banana peppers, drained
  • 1-2 Tbsp. spicy honey
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh oregano or thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  2. Remove wrapping and cardboard from pizza.  Arrange soppressata and banana peppers on top of the pizza.
  3. Place the pizza directly on the center rack in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and drizzle with honey and sprinkle with herbs.  Let rest 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.

Pizza Salad

Yield: 4
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Milton’s Four Cheese Cauliflower Crust Pizza
  • 2 cups of fresh greens (like butter lettuce, raddichio, endive, romaine, or green leaf)
  • ¼ cup sliced red onion
  • 2 Tbsp. blue cheese crumbles
  • Dressing Ingredients
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until emulsified.
  3. Remove wrapping and cardboard.
  4. Place the pizza directly on the center rack in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile toss the salad greens and red onion with the dressing.
  6. Once done, remove the pizza from the oven and top the pizza with your salad.  Sprinkle with blue cheese crumbles then slice and serve!

Make Your Own Pizza Buddies

Yield: 4
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

  • Assorted toppings to include: mini or regular pepperoni slices, sliced bell peppers, sliced olives, shredded carrots, sliced zucchinis, halved cherry tomatoes, and/or sliced onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  2. Remove wrapping and cardboard.
  3. Time to get creative.  Mix and match toppings to create unique, crazy, or silly faces on your pizza.
    Place the pizza directly on the center rack in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.R
  4. Remove from heat and drizzle with honey and sprinkle with herbs.  Let rest 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.
