I read an article in a magazine the other day about new uses for old things. One of the ideas involved turning old crocs into planters. I now have a new rule. I’m not going to wear shoes that can be used as a pot for vegetables or flowers. I know this may be an unpopular statement. I understand that crocs are quite popular.
However, I would like to underscore a very important distinction. Although, I choose not to wear crocs, I do choose to require my toddler to wear them. I believe that crocs are the miracle shoe for children. They are durable, manage to stay on their feet, are great for wet/dry purposes, are easily put on by parents and young ‘uns alike, and come in a sizing system that seems to extend the time for which the shoe fits. Guess you’ll have to wait a few seasons before you’ll be growing tomatoes out of the little guy’s shoes.
