As it turns out, you can’t have a child nearing the ripe old age of two, without everyone expecting you to pop out another baby. I’m not sure who made up this rule, but Lord knows it’s there. As we speed towards this monumental mile-marker, it seems that there isn’t a conversation that doesn’t end up with… “Well, so when are you going to have another?”
So, well, – FOR THE RECORD! – I’m not sure. I’m not ready yet. Besides, I’m going to Napa and I’m NOT going to be knocked up when I’m there. I mean it. But, when I am ready, and surely that time will come in the next decade, I plan to use my Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor.
Everyone has their own battles with fertility – either you look at your husband and you’re pregnant or it takes years of trying then you get to go through the drama of painful and expensive procedures. For those of you in it, you know the drill. But, if you happen to fall somewhere in the middle of this spectrum, or you are trying for your first baby, the monitor may be a helpful tool to help you on your way to motherhood.
It’s not supercheap – the fertility monitor is in the $150 ballpark, and the sticks are about $30 a pack. But, it sure beats the heck out of fertility treatment or diagnostic testing! How it works: you pee on a stick throughout your cycle, and you insert the stick in the monitor. The monitor will then inform you of your ovulation status, giving you degrees of likelihood for getting pregnant on that particular day.
P.S. If you have any questions about this before getting one, feel free to drop me a line. I’m pretty certain that we have Graham because of it!
Had an all expense paid trip to napa and sonoma when I was 10 weeks pregnant with my second. My husband thought it was hilarious. He sure enjoyed having me for a dd though. (The romantic getaway was nice though)
Hope you thoroughly enjoyed your time there!!!
