The crib was exactly what she had imagined. Even better, it would convert into a toddler bed and later into a full-size bed. Her baby had a bed for life. And that’s where this story would end. Except… one morning the mom went to go get her little prince from his crib and instead found a woodchuck. At least that’s what we must assume, since the babe had sawdust all over his face and chunks of crib were missing.
What can we learn from this fairytale turned reality? Either, buy a crib that you don’t mind your teething baby destroying, or protect it before your baby starts to teethe. This is the crib rail cover that the mom in this story purchased, albeit to late to save the crib. But, at least she could put her fears about her baby eating wood and paint to rest. As for the half-eaten crib? Well, there is no fairytale ending. The boy will grow up with teeth marks all over his headboard and footboard. But, perhaps one day he will make up his own horror story to describe the teethmarks and delight his friends at future sleepovers.
The End.
