So, instead of packing up my bags and hitting the road, I’ll simply reminisce my trip to St. John’s through pictures. Thanks to my mom and sister for a relaxing trip, and please don’t shoot me for posting swimsuit photos of you on the internet.
Although being a mom is awesome, it sure was nice to remember what it was like to be a kid. Here are a few highlights of the trip.
Tree Climbing: Although none of us made it to the top, we all sure put in a good effort. I credit my sister with the idea, and my mom for “showing us how it’s done.”
Drinking from the bottle: I got the cups from housekeeping, but forgot to put them in the bag. That will not keep the “Barnes” girls out of the wine. (That’s my sister, Angie, pictured above.)
Afternoon Naps: I think this is a habit all of us would like to adopt in our daily schedule. My mom looks pretty darn relaxed, doesn’t she? I’m sure it’s not because she did too much “bottle” drinking.
Playing hard: We did some serious snorkeling. There may have been an incident with a shark and a near drowning. We can laugh about it now, but my mom would probably prefer that I not share the story. 😉
Arts and Crafts: We came across rock sculptures on several of the beaches. I felt compelled to add my own creation to the mix. I hope it stays for awhile. It was an inspired work of art. Guess my artistic muse lives in St. John’s.
Hugging my mommy: I certainly missed my Graham-squeezes in the morning while on vacation, so I got the love in by squeezing my own mommy instead. I’m sure she enjoyed it.
Hope everyone has a great week, and in case you are wondering, the days are pretty wonderful in St. John’s!
