Accomplishing items pinned from Pinterest! Items checked off the list include: Chocolate dipped rice krispy treats, oreo truffles, thumbprint Christmas light and Christmas tree crafts, and next up… curtains for our side windows at the front door. Yep… Katie’s getting crafty. Who woulda thunk it. For more on what I’ve been up to, follow me on Pinterest. I’ll follow you back! Love getting inspiration from my fellow moms!

Dinner Parties! Nothing like the holidays to make me want to get together with friends, enjoy good food, and have a drink too many. 🙂 My favorite dinner party (food wise) thus far? Fondue Night. I summoned my inner Melting Pot chef and put together a cheese, broth and chocolate fondue course. Here are the recipes if you’d like to give them a go. After all, you did register for a fondue pot, right? Might as well use it!

Recipes:
Cheese Fondue (with green apples and french bread)
Chinese Broth Fondue (with steak, chicken, par-boiled potatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, and assorted dipping sauces)
Chocolate Fondue (with bananas, strawberries and cheesecake)

Once Upon a Time. I recorded this ABC show about a modern day fairy tale gone awry when it first started this fall, but never got around to watching it. That is, until my sister claimed that it was a new favorite show of hers. So, I began to watch the old episodes and am now totally hooked. Makes me (almost) want to fold laundry or jump on the elliptical machine just so I have an excuse to watch it.

Getting the mail. I never am more excited to get the mail than I am the two weeks before Christmas. I am LOVING everyone’s holiday cards this year. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to see the adorable family photo-cards from all of my mom-friends. Your kids are beautiful. You are wonderful.

I wish all of you the merriest of Christmas’. You deserve it.
