I really did have a “Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” yesterday. I ‘spose it was kismet then that a post that I wrote of the same title, posted yesterday on the Chiquita Moms community. Did you read it? What do you think? Is the perfect day that you envision a day when you’re on vacation without the kids? Mine is!!!! I actually wrote a lot of that story based on a day I had last year. If I had written it yesterday, it would have involved me taking a serious fall, bruising my whole body, and not being able to move the rest of the day…
Well, the Chiquita Moms community is all about story-telling for the month of April. This week, mine happened to be of the light-hearted sort, but some of my fellow Charter Chiquita moms are taking an opportunity to share their vulnerable sides. I can do that too, but decided to take a week off from it. 🙂
If you missed it, Angie shared a very heart-warming story about her experience as a birth mother on Monday. At sixteen, she gave her first baby up for adoption. Makes my heart ache and feel all warm-fuzzy at the same time.
Natalie shared a story today about her struggles with infertility. If you are a mother who has been tested by this, I’m sure you’ll appreciate reading her personal story.
On a lighter note, Vanessa celebrated Earth Day with a tips on how to get started with cloth diapering. We’ve had a few posts on the topic on CMF, but Vanessa shares a few ideas I’d never heard of, like cloth diaper trial services that let you check out several brands before buying the lot!
Finally, how do you feel about bribery? Is it good? Is it bad? Do you do it often? Read what Tricia has to say about it!
If you haven’t joined, be sure to sign up as a Chiquita Mom. There a tons of great recipes, fun moms to hang out with, and plenty of advice to give and take!
