Summer Car Travel? A Brica Review and Giveaway!

Doing any summer travel?  We certainly are this year.  In fact I just got back in from Tybee Island today.  It was a dream vacation… perfect weather, not a cloud in the sky, a slight ocean breeze and a comfortable 85 degrees.  Seriously lovely.  I’m just really glad I came prepared.  I love the sun, and my kiddo’s love good weather too.  As long as the sun is not in their eyes.  If the sun dares shine in their eyes, there is much crying, screaming, and wailing.  From both boys.  It is not a good thing.

On the beach I doused each kid multiple times a day with water-proof 50 SPF sunscreen.  I donned each boy in UV protective shirts, sunglasses and floppy beach hats.  We set up umbrellas, and instituted mandatory shade time.
For the car, we installed these handy-dandy, super-duper Brica Stretch to Fit Sunshades.  I seriously love these things.  The Brica Stretch to Fit Sunshade stretches to conform to most windows.  The suction cups on these bad boys are seriously strong.  My kids can still see out their windows, and I don’t have any added blind spots.  Can we say happy kids on our five-hour road trip???? Hurray.

Sadly, I had to hear, “Mommy, when are we going to get there?” about 1,000 times.  But, I don’t think there’s a sun shade that can fix that.
Pick up your own Brica Stretch to Fit Sun Shade from Amazon, Target, or Babies ‘R Us for $12.99.  Beyond the way I’ve used the Stretch to Fit Sun Shade, you can also use this amazing sun shade on odd-shaped windows, and you can put them side-by-side (and connect the shades using snaps) for larger car windows.

We’re also going to be giving one away on Charlotte Mom Favorites!  Interested? Be sure to enter by: Friday, July 13th.  The winner, who will be selected by Random.org and announced on Monday, July 16th, will be sent the Brica Stretch to Fit Sunshade!

You can get up to four entries. You’ll get one each time you:

  • Fill out the form below. This one’s the freebie!
  • Tweet: “I want to win the @brica Stretch to Fit Sunshade from @cltmomfaves!”
  • Share this link on Facebook (you can copy & paste this onto your status update: “Check out the fun giveaway on CMF! http://www.charlottemomfavorites.com/2012/06/summer-car-travel-brica-review-and.html”)
  • Leave a comment about your favorite feature of the Stretch to Fit Sunshade!
Good luck!

**I am compensated for my time spent promoting Brica and was provided with product for my reviews. But, as always, my opinions are my own and would only recommend a product I’ve used and loved!**

Love how easy this looks to install! We had a similar one from uppababy and loved it until daddy accidentally rolled down the window and tore it up.
