Best Shopping Day Ever – Green Jeans Sale South Park

I am bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.  I’m burning the midnight oil, but I’m still buzzing from the great afternoon I had today… I finagled a VIP Pass to the Green Jeans Consignment Sale in South Park, and I just got myself one heck of a new wardrobe!!!

I’ve been working to get my clothes ready as a consignor for this sale for weeks.  It was a lot of work, but after going on my rather extravagant shopping spree, I’m glad I’m put in the effort.  Perhaps, I’ll make enough to throw a little dirt over that $268 hole I dug today.

I don’t often spend much money on myself, so it seems kinda like a big deal to me.  But, let’s be honest… for 22 items of clothing, I think I made out like a bandit!  I did the math for you… Yep, that’s $12.18 per item.  Not bad right?  Now, consider that I bought brands like Theory, AG Jeans, J Crew, Anthropologie, Banana Republic and Ann Taylor and it makes it sound even better!

Get this… I went and looked up each item to find it online (or it’s equivalent) of what it cost in the stores.  Wanna know the total?  $1,690.45.  Which means, I saved $1,422.45 and $64.66 per item.  Hard to argue with that, right?  So now that I’ve convinced you that consignment sales are a good deal (duh!), here’s an even better reason to hit the Green Jeans Sale this weekend…

True, it kinda sucked when I dropped off the clothes to consign and things were picked through and turned down.  But, when I was on the flip-side and doing the shopping, I was really glad that Cindy and Dana (the gals that run this show) so carefully made sure that every item was up to snuff (brand and quality-wise).

See that pink and white stripe top? It’s Theory and retails for $245. I paid $19.50.  And, how cute is that striped scarf?  Sorry, Sonal.

These are the comfiest tees ever… J Crew. Love ’em.  And the short sleeve jacket? Another great Anthropologie find.

At $8, I grabbed that Old Navy Green/White maxi dress.  Didn’t even try it on! Hope it fits!  And the print dress top right? Another $8 find and it retails for $132!

I love,love,love the blue wrap top from Anthropologie top left. The BCBG shift and the ivory silk shirt from Ann Taylor are great work-day finds too!

$164 AG Jeans for $16.50.  Need I say any more?  Ok, how ’bout J Crew shorts for $8 or Banana Republic Bermuda shorts for… $4???
