Most of you have probably heard by now that my arm is in a cast. Not only is it hard to type (woe is me), but it’s hard to do everything else too, like care for my kids, clean the house, and cook. I’ve increased the hours that my wonderful nanny is spending with the children, and have brought back on the maid that used to work for us before I had babies.
But sadly, I can’t find a great and affordable in-home chef to be at my family’s beck and call. Bizarre, right? So, instead, I continue to make meals, and am seeking recipes that are healthy and tasty, but also require very little work. Or, if work is involved, work that can be done with one hand. { i.e. dicing an onion, not possible. Stirring a risotto, totally manageable.}
Have any ideas for recipes that I might have a chance at making without causing further injury to my arm and without having to bust out another frozen pizza? BTW – a frozen pizza is really hard to unwrap with only one hand. Someone should look into that.
Ok, seriously, I’m straying. I blame the pain meds. Let’s get back to you. You sharing great recipes with me that you’ve highlighted on your blog, pinterest boards, or that you have stashed in a recipe book somewhere. Link them up and inspire me. I’m in a rut… the pain is still here, the meds are running low, so I’m gonna need to turn to delicious food to eat my way out of this misery. Tempt me to cook with any of the recipes you submit, and I’ll invite you over for dinner and pour you a nice glass ‘o wine too. Sound good?
So, let’s get sharing:
