I <3 Mexican Food: Check out Chuy's Charlotte + GIVEAWAY

{Don’t miss the Chuy’s Charlotte Giveaway at the end of the post!}

After putting together the Month of Meals post for May yesterday, I came to two conclusions:

1:  I’m eating a heckuva lot more bacon than usual.

2:  I love Mexican food.

#1 is most likely a symptom of my pregnancy.  The first two times I craved ice.  With number three, my pregnancy craving is bacon.  I’m sure it’s doing wonders for my health.  Now, #2, my love of Mexican food?  This is nothing new.  I love spicy.  I love chips and salsa.  And who could deny their inestimable love for cheesy goodness? Not me, folks. Not me.
chips queso
I make a lot of Mexican food at home.  In fact, one of my favorites is on the May #MonthofMeals for Cinco de Mayo: Smoky Beef Tacos, Rice and Beans, and Pineapple Salsa.  But sometimes, a gal needs to get out of the kitchen and allow a server to bring her endless bowls of chips and salsa.  When that happens,  I head to Chuy’s.
chips sauce
Have you been?  It’s located next to Cowfish at South Park.  They have the best chips in town.  I’m serious.  I don’t take things like the search for the perfect tortilla chip lightly.  They also have an incredible round-up of sauces for all of your Mexi-favorites.  At a recent media event we got to sample them all.  The verdict?  Get thee the Boom Boom sauce.  If you need to ask why, you need to discover it for yourself.
chips margarita
Oh, and although I’m probably not supposed to brag about it, the current Chuy’s seasonal margarita – Blackberry – is Uh.Maze.Ing.   As soon as this baby pops out, I’m gonna  head over there and have a celebratory Blackberry Lime swirled margarita (or five).

Umkay… now that I’ve worked up quite an appetite for all things Chuy’s, I’m gonna call a few friends and book a lunch date so I can get my nosh on.  You can too… Mom Favorites is giving away Dinner for Two at Chuy’s!  Heck yeah!

Be sure to get all your points for entry in the Rafflecopter app below and leave a comment sharing your favorite Mexican dish!

I was not compensated for this review, but was invited to a Media Event and given lots of chips and salsa. 🙂  All opinions, are of course, always my own!

    I LOVE Chuy’s. It’s a also a great place to take children. My favorite dish is their fish tacos and LOTS of their yummy chips and salsas/dips.
