BumpBox – The Perfect Baby Shower Gift

{Don’t miss the bumpBox giveaway at the end of the post! It makes the perfect Baby Shower gift!}

I was pretty straightforward with my friends with baby #3.  No baby shower.  No sprinkle.  Nothing.  Seriously.

We have so much baby stuff, and our friends were so generous with showers during my first pregnancy and by passing down hand-me-downs with my second pregnancy, there was no way I would have been comfortable with asking my friends to gather for another Harding pre-baby party.

Besides, I’d rather host the party than be the honoree.  My favorite part of any gathering is putting together the theme, making the food, creating the table settings and finding the perfect gifts. After all, isn’t that what my favorite social media channel, Pinterest, is made for?  🙂
baby shower theme ideas
Don’t these parties all look amazing? As a mom to boys, I have a hard time getting into the “girly” themes, so I found some beautiful gender neutral shower ideas that would be great for any mom and any baby!

1. Clever Childrens Book Baby Shower Theme, from Hostess with the Mostess
2. Sprinkle Party, from Kara’s Party Ideas
3. Hot Air Balloon Baby Shower Theme, from Simply Bloom Photography
4. Navy and Coral Baby Shower Color Palette, from Delightful Deets
5. About to Pop, from Real Simple

When it comes to gifts for a new mom, I have two policies – either get her something she really needs or get her something that is simply a really nice treat.
perfect baby registry
As far as needs go, check out my post for The Perfect Baby Registry.  On it, you’ll find what I consider the basic essentials that every mom could use. You simply cannot go wrong with getting an expecting mom one of these items!
bumpboxNow, as far as the “treat for mom” is concerned, I have a new contender – bumpBox. I was recently sent a bumpBox to check out for myself, and it was so much fun.  I love surprises, and what better than a gift set of little goodies selected especially for expecting moms and their babies?  I tore open the adorable box as soon as I received it and was delighted to find all of the perfect little gifts.

Inside the bumpBox, I found:
bump box goodies
Onesie stickers – the perfect accompaniment for all of those monthly Instagram photos I know I’ll be sharing!
A pregnancy journal – I use this to write down notes (a.k.a. complaints) for the each OB appointment.
Bump Water – something I don’t have to feel guilty about drinking; you should hear my hubs grumble everytime I open a can of soda.
Teething Keys – it’s baby #3. At least something isn’t a hand-me-down for him. Even though they are made out of recycled milk jugs. How appropriate! 🙂
Lip Balm and Stretch Mark Cream – it’s the little things, ya know?

You can get bumpBox by subscription – and you have a one month, three month or six month option.  Baby showers can be overwhelming, especially for first time moms.  All of that stuff!  For a baby! Plus, you have to cart the boxes to the car and assemble everything at home!

How nice is it, to gift her something that she’ll get after the fact!  Plus, it’ll be delivered to her door step.  She’ll be sure to remember you and your thoughtfulness!

We happen to be giving away one bumpBox (it’ll be the same box I received) to a lucky Mom Favorite’s reader.   Keep it for yourself or take it to your next baby shower!  Enter to win in the Rafflecopter app directly below.

I really like gender reveal parties, which I guess can count as the “theme” of the shower, right? Otherwise, I don’t know that the showers I’ve been to have had themes. 😉

I’ve only ever been to my baby shower, which was a neutral theme. We decided not to find out what sex our baby was, so everything was pink AND blue. lol. It was cute though having both colors.

Yes, my first was a boy. Now I’m expecting my second in September and we chose not to find out again. I think it’s a girl(mothers intuition), but we’re excited to find out when the baby is born. =)

That Hot Air Balloon Baby Shower Theme seems so cute. I’ll be throwing a baby shower for my dearest sister and I want a theme that’s unique. And since she loves air balloons, this could be a very perfect theme for her.
