How are those resolutions coming along mommas? Did you know that 75% of resolution-makers have thrown in the towel after just one week? For shame!
Admittedly, I’ve faltered a bit. Did you see that post with the Buffalo Dip with Blue Cheese? Yeah, not lo-cal at all. But, ain’t no way I’m giving up on my New Year’s resolutions! What about you?
My goals? Find a healthier work-life balance, lose my baby weight and keep it off, see more of my friends, and spend more quality time with the hubs.
I admit that I shouldn’t pat myself on the back yet. Sure, I’ve dropped a few pounds, and I’ve gotten to hang out with some of my fabulous friends, but there’s a long way yet to go in 2015. My key to success though, is going to be moderation.
I’ve always found that it’s the cold-turkey folks that have a hard time keeping to resolutions. I can’t cut out all gluten and dairy and be happy. I can’t work out three times a day. And I won’t eliminate all alcohol from my diet. That’s just insane. 🙂 But moderation? And making simple swaps? That’s an idea I can get behind.
Which is why, I’m totally loving on Brancott Estate Flight Song Wine. 20% lower in calories, this wine is a secret to keeping a New Year’s Resolution and have more fun doing it. I mean, resolutions are made to make life better. And if you ask me, life is made better with wine!
I’ve now tried both the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio varietals from Brancott Estate and loved both. I’m not a total wine snob, but I like a good glass. This is a good glass.
So instead ordering pizza and sharing a a few beers with my husband on date night, we’ll have a glass of Brancott Estate Flight Song Sauvignon Blanc and sushi. Still awesome. Way less guilt. Win – win(e)!
Moderation folks, moderation. I’m still struggling with keeping work during work-hours, but I’m making plans to add a few people to my team. And in a few weeks, maybe, just maybe, Friday will soon be my day for myself, my friends and my family. Wouldn’t that be grand? Oh, and I’m booking a permanent slot with our babysitter for a weekly date night. How exciting is that?
Now I want to hear from you. What resolutions are easy for you to keep? Which ones are you having trouble with?
