James is my third baby.  Needless to say, he doesn’t get a lot of new stuff.  Sure, it’s all new to him, but it’s at least all been through my other boys, not to mention that we got a good portion of those items as hand-me-downs or from consignment shops.  Yep, when it comes to gear for the kids, we’re thrifty.

But when it comes to car seats, I didn’t want to mess around.  I figured that the car seat we bought six years ago for our first child should probably be retired.  Not only was I concerned about safety…. the thing had clearly seen better days.

Besides, if you’re a new mom, you know.  Your stroller is kind of like a car – beyond function, it’s a statement.   Are you a mom that goes all out for the best of everything?  Do you like good looks and function, but must fit a defined budget?  Or do you just want something that gets the job done?
