Check out the Brownie Points Math App – the best online tool for common core math practice!
Three more days of summer. Three. More. Days. I’d cry, but I don’t want to upset the kids. Although, let’s be honest – they’re chomping at the bit to go back. It’s just me who’s whining, and mostly because of the early start time.
Why oh why must the bus come at 6:45 am for elementary school? Why?!? Cruel and unusual punishment, I tell you.
Early mornings aside, I actually feel pretty good about the start of the school year. I’m looking forward to the cooler weather, pumpkin-spiced everything, and getting back on a routine. And, I think the kids are primed for learning. Particularly Graham, who has kept his brain active this summer. We’ve done Violin Camp and lessons, Minecraft Camp (which I’m told teaches him about programming and architecture… Is that true or is that just a rumor?), and we’ve had a daily reading hour and math practice.
Minecraft Camp was probably the winner this summer, but you know what was a close second? Math. Math!!!! I owe it all to the Brownie Points app.
Have you downloaded Brownie Points yet? You totally should. Here’s why:
Brownie Points has figured out how to motivate your kids to be excited about doing math. How? By giving them the opportunity to earn points to download their favorite iPad and iPhone games! Children are rewarded with “brownie” points for completing math problems. Points accrued can be cashed in for games like Angry Birds, Minecraft (!!!), and Batman. Graham’s working on Batman now.
The Brownie Points math app is geared towards children in grades K-7. The app is proven to help 61% kids reach “Above Grade Level” within a month. Incredible, right?
We started with the app at the end of July, and Graham is already cruising through the 2nd grade math problems. I’m sure his 2nd grade teacher will be thrilled when he starts school next week. It used to be that I’d wake up and find him watching Minecraft YouTube videos. Now, he’s waking me up to ask for my iPad so he can do his math. Fabulous! Except for that waking me up bit. Momma likes her sleep.
Here a look at the Brownie Points app and a few examples of the types of questions:
The basic version of the app is available for free. I’ve found that upgrading to the VIP experience, however, is totally worth it – more math content, more opportunities to win points, more motivation for my kid to WANT to do math! For VIP Pricing Details, click here.
So get on it! Download Brownie Points for your iPad at the iTunes link here. Additional platforms will be coming soon!
