Although you wouldn’t know it from the deluge of this past week… it’s nearly summertime. Hollah!
I’m ready to shelve the backpacks and lunchboxes and swap them for sunscreen and beach towels. I know it’s the kids that are supposed to be excited about school being out, but I’m down right giddy. No more early mornings. No more evening homework stress. 🙂
Sure, I work full time and have an amazing support system in place to help me manage the summer months. But, I hope to also cut back on my own workload a tad so I can enjoy a few lazy days this summer with my (mostly) amazing kids.
I look forward to many pool days ahead. With three kids in tow, however, it’s essential to head to the water prepared. In addition to the obligatory sunscreen and goggles, this also means means making sure the kids know their limitations when it comes to the water.
For my youngest, it’s pretty simple. SwimWays has an amazing baby float that is perfect for little guys like my James. With the SwimWays Baby Spring Float, babies are introduced to water play in a safe and secure environment. Once inflated, he sits with his lower half of his body in the water so he can kick, and splash. It’s patented inner spring offers superior stability (read: less crying). But, he’s also protected from the sun with the canopy which provides 50+ UPF.
Will still needs constant supervision in the water, but he has some swimming chops. When he wants to play in the deep end of the pool, he likes to use the Swim Ways Use 2-in-1 Swim Trainer. You can use the chest flotation and arm bands together for added support and security, or use the water wings alone as your child’s skill improves.
As pools around the South are opening up this weekend and next, please take the chance to evaluate your children’s swimming skills and determine the safest way for them to play in the water this summer. Many thanks to SwimWays, a leader in helping children learn to swim and promoting water safety, as evidenced by the 5th annual National Learn to Swim Day on May 21, 2016.
SwimWays started National Learn to Swim Day in 2012 and is dedicated to educating parents and children about water safety and the importance and benefits of learning to swim.
What SwimWays floats do your children love?
