Breezy and Easy Memorial Day Style!  Get the look and the party snacks to shine at any cookout this holiday weekend!

It’s here!  The official start of summer!  I don’t know about you, but I think Memorial Day is the most underrated holidays of them all.  Unlike Christmas and Easter which are one and done events, Memorial Day starts off MONTHS of fun and goodness.  It’s a celebration of good things to come.

Little pomp and circumstance is needed.  No suits and ties.  No slaving in the kitchen for days in advance.  I put together a little inspiration board for the perfect Memorial Day get-together.  Whether you are hosting or visiting… follow these steps to complete a great look for yourself and the food on this most laid-back of holidays.

1) The Outfit:

First up, let’s talk fashion.  I luh-ove this ombre sundress.  It’s light and loose and paired with comfy (Rainbow) sandals, will ensure you enjoy the day whether you are lake-side or hanging out near the grill.  Bring along a large tote to throw all the kids’ stuff in (like the sparklers), and you’re good to go.

2) The Beverages:

Whether you are hosting or going as a guest, consider offering fruit-enhanced “spa” water.  Sure, you’ll probably be nipping into the cooler for an adult beverage, but hydration is key to winning the day.  I like to have plastic tumblers for outdoor soirees, and the Govino glasses are perfect for any outdoor beverage you choose.  Use ’em once and toss or rinse and keep them around for your next party.

3) The Table:

With these few steps, you’ll be ready to party.

  • First, be sure to grab an oilcloth tablecloth for the base of your spread.  Not only are they heavy duty and reusable, but all messes are easily wiped up.
  • Be sure to set your table up in shade, and for dairy and salad items, place them in bowls of ice.  This will keep them perfectly cool and safe for grazing throughout the shindig.
  • Stock your paper products right at the table.  Let’s go red, white and blue to get in the spirit!!

  • Keep clean up a breeze and store a trashcan outside by the table.  It’s why we love laid-back entertaining!

4) The Food:

As I said, this is not the day that I’m going to spend hovering over the stove.  I wanna be out and about with my friends and family.  Everyone can bring some meat to throw on the grill and that’s that.  Served with the new Chobani Mezé™ dips, chips and veggies, you’ve got yourself a mighty-fine spread.

Chobani Mezé Dips comes in 4 globally inspired flavors in 10oz sizes: Roasted Red Pepper – a sweet and slightly hot, mix of roasted peppers, Three Pepper Salsa – a light blend of green peppers, chili peppers & jalapeno peppers with herbs, Smoked Onion Parmesan – rich mix that combines bold onion flavor with nutty parmesan, and Chili Lime – a tangy blend of lime and light spice, with ranch-style herbs.  I think my fave was the Chili Lime!

I was able to find the Chobani Mezé dips at the Galleria Walmart in the deli section and grab everything else I needed for my party supplies!
