Inspired by Adam Rubin’s Robo-Sauce, we’re sharing our TOP SECRET FORMULA for Robo-Sauce Milk! Available for a limited time, be sure to grab TruMoo Orange Scream milk and enjoy with these adorable Robot Mugs!
Ever since our first Kitchen Stories post, the kids and I have been plotting to share one of our favorite books, Robo-Sauce. Author Adam Rubin is a favorite in our house and has inspired several of our recipes, like our Not-Too-Spicy Tacos for Dragons and our Family Secret Pizza Party. But, for awhile, Robo-Sauce had us stumped.
We couldn’t quite figure out what the Top Secret Formula was.
If only there were some sort of magical “Robo-Sauce” that turned you into a giant awesome robot… If only you could make it from common household ingredients… If only I knew the top-secret formula…
It wasn’t until the last few weeks that I figured out the recipe. And, it’s widely available to you too, at least through October. Orange cream flavored TruMoo milk is perfect for all the ghouls, gobblins, and wanna-be-robots in your family!
Love the orange and cream combo? Then be sure to grab TruMoo Orange Scream Low Fat Milk. Not only is it the perfect color for Robo-Sauce, it contains no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial growth hormones, no artificial sweeteners, and no artificial flavors or colors. But remember, just like in the book… everything it touches becomes a robot, too!
ROBO-SAUCE Milk Mugs
Wrap washi tape around each mug, about 1/2″ up from the bottom. Spray completely with silver spray paint. Allow to dry completley, then remove the washi tape.
Now, it’s time to expose the mugs to the Robo-Sauce, a.k.a TruMoo Orange Scream!
Flash! Boom! Bang! Your mug is now a Robot! (With a little help from a glue gun, pipe cleaner, google eyes and aluminum foil!)
And what about the kids?!?! Do they turn into robots, too? Well, you’ll just have to see for yourself.
Beep. Boop. Bop. Beep.
