How I Make Barista Style Coffee at Home

This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.

Just say no to bad coffee.  Instead, make barista style coffee at home with the right tools and ingredients.

When it comes to kitchen gadgets, I’ve tried out most.  When it comes to keeping and using new kitchen gadgets in my regular routine, not so much.  I’m just not into the instant pots and pressure cookers.  Sorry.  And, the air fryer?  I’m sure it has its merits, but I’ll pass.

That doesn’t mean to say I can’t jump in on a food trend and get excited.  I adore my spiralizer. (Check out some great veggie noodle recipes here.)  I swear by my rice cooker.  But you wanna know my new favorite kitchen tool that’s getting premium space in my kitchen?  It’s my Nespresso machine.  It has a permanent place on the counter.  Because espresso from my machine is becoming a daily habit.

Y’all know I’m a coffee gal.  Every day starts with a cup o’ joe.  In fact, my husband and I make a date out of it.  But for me, it’s not just one and done.  Since I work from home, I like to be able to make of coffee and espresso drinks whenever I need a mental recharge.  Which is more often than not. 😉

The Nespresso machine comes in handy.  But being more than handy, it makes darn good espresso from convenient single-use capsules.  And wouldn’t you know, my favorite brand, Peet’s, makes capsules for my  machine AND they’re available at Target?!?  Winning.  Because, let’s be honest… Target is my second home. They are also available on Peet’s website.

You won’t believe that you aren’t in a fancy-pants coffee shop.  And when I have guests over, serving espresso seems elegant enough to forgo complicated desserts.  Instead, I can set out a tray of chocolates and a variety of Peet’s espresso capsules for my guests to choose from. If you haven’t experienced a coffee beverage from an espresso machine before, do it.

My personal favorite may be Peet’s Crema Scura. With an intensity level of “9”, it’s really rich without being overly bitter.  But, there are four different varieties for you to explore. I prefer my espresso straight up, maybe with some sugar.

Peet’s espresso blends come in an aluminum capsules which are sealed to preserve aromas and deliver a more intense espresso experience with a richer, smoother, and creamier foam. With 100% Arabica, each capsule delivers the high-quality coffee sourcing that consumers expect from Peet’s.

Score your Peet’s espresso capsules at Target, or shop online here.
