Here's a crafty DIY Mason Jar Gift featuring inexpensive items to show appreciation during the holidays. Perfect for teachers, bus drivers, mailmen, neighbors and anyone else that needs some Christmas love!On your mark, get set, go!  Time to get shopping.  Planning.  Cooking.  Gifting.  Ahhhh.

We’ve all got our lists, and we’re checking them twice.  Or should be. 🙂  Every year I feel like I forget someone.  That neighbor that brings a gift when I didn’t have anything planned to give in return.  A cousin that’s more thoughtful than I am.  And then there’s always a girlfriend telling me the wonderful treats she gives to the entire school staff.  Rub it in why don’t you?

I have a pretty conservative list of those I gift to, but I am increasing it this year, by at least one.  The school bus driver.  Sure, the classroom gets together to give the teacher and the teacher’s helper a gift.  But I feel like I’ve always neglected to recognize the woman that makes sure my son gets to school safely.  That he’s not bullied on the bus.  That he is safely in a guardian’s care at the end of the day?  Yeah, that woman deserves a little recognition.  She’s awesome.

Here’s the collection of goodies I found… all at Dollar General, so you know I got everything at bargain prices!

The star of the show? Extra® and Doublemint® gum.  I figured she could use a little pick-me-up during her drive home with all of those kiddos!  Wrigley gum is the perfect stocking stuffer option, gift idea and affordable holiday treat.

Next, I added few other goodies  with the thought that they would be perfect for someone around children and exposed to the elements all day: cough drops, lip care, car fresheners, and then some fun chocolates and nail colors.

Finally I found a giant mason jar and ornament that would work as a bow for gift as well.  Dollar General had a lot of really cute holiday decor items!

Be sure to stock up on Extra® and Doublemint® gum this holiday season with Dollar General!
