Kids are so freaking cute. And say the most amazing things. I was terrified and awestruck by my child’s curiosity in our recent chat about Divorce, Sex and Death. Apparently, we forgot to talk about Jesus, though. So I was thrilled when tonight at dinner, Graham pipes up…
Graham: “At Sunday School in Pennsylvania we talked about Jesus.”
Me: “And what did you learn?”
Graham: “I don’t remember.”
Me: Bor-ing. “What do you remember?”
Graham: “I learned about Easter Eggs. And one of them was empty.”
Me: “Why was it empty?”
Graham: “It’s where they put Jesus. They put Jesus in the Easter Egg and when they opened the tube he was back alive.”
Me: I think he meant tomb. “Really?”
Graham: “Actually he was still dead.”
Me: “And how did that work out for him?”
Graham: “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask Jesus.”
Hmmm…. this kid is deep. And also needs to get his story straight. But now, the whole Easter Egg and Christian Easter combo does make a lot more sense.
Thats so cute. Easter eggs and Christmas- what a combo
