I’m insane. Really. Certifiably. OK, some of you may have already known this. To others of you, this may be new news. Regardless, after I tell you what I’ve done, I’ll be waiting for you to reserve my spot in the loony bin. I’m actually looking forward to it. Lots of sleep, right? And I assume you don’t have to vacuum there either.
It all started with a Facebook post. Several days ago, my friend Sonal posted that she was signing up for a 100-mile running challenge. Yup, she’s running 100 miles in the month of July. Stupid, right? Who wants to run 100 miles in 100 degree weather? I was going to let her know my opinion on this, and then it happened. She challenged me. Darn me for loving a little friendly competition. As if I needed more things on my plate.
So tomorrow, it begins. I’m committing to 100 miles in the month of July. There w
ill be early mornings, a lot of sweat, and of course, a lot of running. In an oddly masochistic way, I’m looking forward to logging my miles daily, tracking my friends’ progress, and of course beating the pants off of everybody. 🙂 As I blog over the course of July, I’ll post my progress.
