CMF Five-Day Meal Plan – Menus and Grocery List

I don’t know about you guys, but if I get the chance to grocery shop without the kids, it’s an amazing experience. So…. if you get the chance, head to the Teeter today and leave the kiddos with dad! I’ve got your 5-day meal plan with bonus treats, and I’ve already prepped your grocery list.

Cook along with me this week! We’re going to be eating well!


Menu:
Monday – Mushroom and Black Bean Tortilla Casserole & Roasted Carrots and Avocado
Tuesday – Caramelized Onion Chicken, Sweet Potato Mash, and Bibb and Radish Salad with Buttermilk Dressing
Wednesday – Curried Potatoes with Chickpeas & Cucumber Raita
Thursday –Pan-seared Salmon with Spinach and Mushrooms & Wild Rice
Friday – Tagliatelle with Prosciutto and Orange & Caramelized Green Beans
Bonus – Grown-up PB&J Treats with “Apple Juice” (a.k.a. The Sidewalker)

Grocery Items:

(produce)
3 large sweet potatoes
8 sage leaves
4 scallions
2 med. heads of bibb, butter or boston lettuce
4 radishes
chives (opt.)
onion (1)
1 1/4 # mushrooms (assorted)
12 oz. baby carrots
avocado
orange
2 shallots (or small onion)
2 c. baby spinach leaves
1 1/2 # green beans
2 English cucumbers
1 1/2 # yukon gold potatoes
jalapeno (optional)
2 oranges

(dairy)

buttermilk
1 1/2 c. shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
1 c. heavy cream
1 1/2 c. greek or plain low-fat yogurt
1/4 c. grated parmesan

(meat)

# chicken breast tenders
4 small portions of salmon fillets
1/4 # sliced prosciutto

(other)

1/2 c. seedless raspberry jam
can of black beans
can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
8 corn tortillas
2 c. salsa
2 c. fried onions (2.8 oz can of French’s)
Uncle Ben’s wild rice blend
12 oz. tagliatelle, papparadelle or fettuccine

Pantry Items:
extra-virgin olive oil
kosher salt
pepper
mayonnaise
red wine vinegar
lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
soy sauce
stone-ground mustard
bottled minced ginger (or dried ginger or ginger paste)
garlic (jarred or fresh)
curry powder
cayenne pepper (opt. or sub chili powder)
garam masala (totally worth it if you’re willing to try it, or sub cumin/coriander)
dried rosemary
dried thyme
butter

Bonus treat groceries:
2 sticks of butter (of course!), flour, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, 3/4 c. roasted peanuts, 1/2 c. peanut butter chips, 12 oz. grape (or other fave) jelly
Bonus cocktail groceries:
Apple brandy, lemon juice, Grade B maple syrup, 3 bottles Hefeweizen beer, and club soda
